BIKE, WALK, or SCOOT to school on Thursday mornings for Cougar Cruise!!
The PTA is encouraging all Cougars to bike, walk, or scooter to school on Thrusday mornings!
Our Cougar Cruise Thursdays use Active4.me barcode scanning technology to log students' walking, scooting, and bicycling trips to and from school.
By enrolling, students can track their number of trips and miles travelled to win fun prizes.
The program also can be set up to send parents a text upon their child's arrival at school.
On Thursday mornings, there is a bike caravan that starts at Little Phoenix Park at 8:30. Students and parents may join anywhere along the route.
While the bike bus is lead by parent volunteers, the PTA does not assume liability for children riding in the bike bus. Please ensure you teach your children bike safety principles and ensure they know and have ridden the route before sending them to ride the bike bus.
More locations and routes will be added based on parent leads. If you are interested in volunteering to lead a new location, or have any questions about the program, please contact Kerri Hart.
Cougar Cruise uses Active4.me barcode scanning technology that logs student's trips to and from school. Students who regularly participate in the scanning program will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities and contests throughout the school year.
You can register your student(s) online HERE!
Once processed, your child will receive a barcode tag to begin particiapting in the program. Simply place the barcode tag on your child's backpack and each Thursday your child will be scanned by volunteers when they arrive at school.
If you are interested in volunteering to scan Cougar Cruise participants, or would like to be listed as a "backup" volunteer to scan students' barcode tags from 8:40-8:55 AM on Thursdays, please contact Kerri Hart or sign up with the button below!
We are specifically looking for parents to volunteer to help lead the current bike bus or scan riders on Thursday mornings. You can pick the Thursdays you'd like to help using the button below!!
